iRacing

Digital boxart of iRacing

After the release of NASCAR Racing 2003 and EA’s exclusive license with NASCAR, Dave Kaemmer partnered with John Henry to form FIRST.net. They acquired the code for NASCAR Racing 2003 and used it to create iRacing in 2008. Although iRacing would keep the physics system and online packet code, the rest of the code was changed or was completely brand new.
